Company Trip to Miyakojima

This year, Apex's annual company trip brought together 106 employees for a 3-day stay in Miyakojima, Okinawa, known for its beautiful Miyako blue sea. In previous years, we visited Ishigaki, Okinawa in 2022 and Seoul, Korea in 2023.

Our departure from Tokyo coincided with a nearby typhoon, which seems to have become a tradition of its own, causing some initial concern. Despite the weather, we arrived safely in Miyakojima before noon.

The trip kicked off with the beloved company dinner, providing everyone with the opportunity to socialize with colleagues they don't often work with or see in the office.

Over the next two days, employees were free to explore the island as they wished. Some went sightseeing by car, others relaxed on the beach, and a few tried out cycling, snorkeling, and golfing. Many took taxis to the city center on Saturday night to enjoy Okinawan cuisine and live music.

"The Apex trip to Miyakojima was an outstanding way to bond with my colleagues, especially with those whom I had only interacted with in passing. It was the perfect opportunity for Apex members of any status to break down barriers and really get to know one another in a beautiful, relaxing environment." ― Emma Tsuzuki Owen (Talent Acquisition)

"First of all I would like to thank everyone who was a part of the organizing team for this trip, it was an unforgettable experience! The hotel, dinner, and all the support provided by Apex were at the highest level. I really appreciate how Apex takes care of their employees and does their best to maintain a great and healthy culture within the company. Despite the fact that I joined Apex 3 months ago, I had a chance to talk to most of the people in the company and no longer feel like a new joiner. The dinner on the first day was also a great opportunity for me to meet new people and get to know my colleagues from the Annex office as well. I believe Apex has a really good work-life balance and always rewards their employees for their hard work!" ― Aziz Normukhamedov (Associate Consultant | Pharmaceutical)

The company trip served as both a break from work and a team-building exercise. As we return to our daily lives, we're already looking forward to where our company trip will take us next!
